“When we learn to read the story of Jesus and see it as the story of the love of God, doing for us what we could not do for ourselves–that insight produces, again and again, a sense of astonished gratitude which is very near the heart of authentic Christian experience.”

N.T. Wright

Astonished. What a great word.

Astonished - verb (used with object)
 1. to fill with sudden and overpowering surprise or wonder; amaze:

This is the way I want to live my life: filled with overpowering surprise and wonder! Fully loved, fully accepted, fully known, and thus fully satisfied by the love of God.

  • Overpowered daily by the ever flowing love He showers.
  • Surprised that despite my enemy status and dead nature He still picked me.
  • Wonder-filled that He not only took my place but that He unified us forever through His love and grace.
