Dreaming doesn’t happen as much when I’m awake. It honestly doesn’t happen much when I sleep either.

For me, dreaming for me isn’t some “pie-in-the-sky” thoughts, they are more like:

“What am I not doing?”
“What if I did ‘x’?”
“Wouldn’t it be cool if…?”

But maybe that’s just me.

My good friend Bryn Waddell’s solo album comes out today! I’m so excited about this album because it captures a side of Bryn that most people haven’t seen or heard. on the album you have a little bit of it all from up-tempo praise in ‘I Give You Glory’ to heart-moving worship in ‘You Gave Your Life Away’. There is powerful ministry in ‘Deliverer’ and prophetic declaration in ‘Do It, Lord’. ‘I Will Wait’ has a time of encouragement for those going through some trying times. ‘You Are Holy’ is just pure worship in telling God who He is. ‘Our God’ has become the anthem of the hour and gives hope to those who need it. I remember getting the dcTalk album “Supernatural” and immediately listening to the whole thing and reading every lyric, thank you, and liner note. The CD didn’t leave my player for months! But, somehow I forgot how powerful some of their lyrics are.

Maybe it was my age, maybe it was the hype of the ‘hits’. Thinking and listening back, ‘Consume Me’, was one of the standouts on the album for me. What is one of your favorite dcTalk albums/songs?

Apps iUse – Writing

I decided that I am going to do a blog series on apps that I use on my iPhone. I will start with the writing apps that I have. I write a lot and want to write more. So here is my list.

1. PlainText (iTunes link)- I use this app for 90% of my writing on my iPhone. The Dropbox integration is such a nice feature.

2. BlogPress (iTunes link)- For blogging on my iPhone this is my go to app. However, I will usually compose my blog in PlainText then copy/paste and then publish through BlogPress.

3. Posterous (iTunes link)- I love Posterous! This app is great for managing all of my Posterous sites. And it’s free!

4. Simplenote (iTunes link)- This app is very similar to PlainText however for full-screen distraction free writing, I like this one better.

5. Birdhouse (iTunes link)- Pre-composing and capturing tweets is a new thing for me. However, I love the idea of collecting ideas and being able to post them at a later time.

6. Nebulous Notes (iTunes link)- For the writer and coder on the go, this app is a great addition to your phone or iPad.

7. Thoughtback (iTunes link)- Quick note capturing.

8. Dragon Dictation (iTunes link)- I use this for times when I don’t have time to write. I’m able to dictate, with pretty good accuracy, what i want to write and then copy/paste out.

9. WordPress (iTunes link)- Honestly, I only use this app for comment management.

10. Tumblr (iTunes link)- I rarely use this app. My Tumblr is mainly photos from Instagram.

So, that’s the Apps iUse for Writing. Stay tuned for the next round.
