Who God says I am is the only opinion that matters.
FULLY SATISFIED MANIFESTO

On the surface, this could sound a lot like what we talked about last week. But, it’s actually a little deeper.

Opinion

Whose opinion do you listen to? Your friends? God’s? Your family’s? Your workplace’s?

The challenge facing most of us isn’t the external opinions that we hear of us, but the internal opinion. We can be our own worst enemy.

Opinion

belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.

So, we don’t have enough information to make a definitive judgment of ourselves. But, God does.

Matters

What holds weight in your life? For me, it’s family, church, work, and my hobbies. We put our time and attention on the things that we value, the things that matter.

We matter to God and how we think about ourselves matters to Him. Paul constantly reminded and encouraged his churches to think about themselves like God does.

Paul tells them, and us,  that we are God’s children. We are different. Loved by God. The list goes on and on.

The fact of the matter is that God thinks about us and his about us are good! When all else fails and everything is rough, remember that his opinion is the only source that makes a difference.

Takeaways

The fact of the matter is that God thinks about us and his about us are good!

We don’t have enough information to make a definitive judgment of ourselves. But, God does.

Who God says I am is the only opinion that matters.

We matter to God and how we think about ourselves matters to Him.
