Patience is a process but it’s also a necessity.
Fully Satisfied Manifesto

Nobody wants patience but everybody needs it.

Ultramarathon Not Afternoon Jog

I remembering hearing of ultra marathons several years ago. These things are intense. Check out this Wikipedia article.

Nothing about the Christian life is a full on sprint. At best, it’s a marathon. Uphill both ways in the snow. I’m exaggerating but you get the point. Jesus told us that we’d have hardship in this life so we shouldn’t be surprised that this race is long.

Patience Required

22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23, Amplified

Required is a harsh term. It can denote law. But the truth is that the patience required is also supplied! It’s the Spirit’s fruit, not yours!

You don’t have to strive to get it. Just allow Holy Spirit be who He is and the fruit will come.
