Peace is unbelievable yet present for us all.FULLY SATISFIED MANIFESTO
Don’t we all want peace? I do. Don’t we all want peace all the time? I do.
So how do we get it?
7 And in this place of worship and gratitude you will witness how the peace of God within you echoes the awareness of your oneness in Christ Jesus beyond the reach of any thought that could possibly unsettle you. (uperecho) Just like the sentry guard secures a city, watching out in advance for the first signs of any possible threat, your hearts deepest feelings and the tranquility of your thoughts are fully guarded there.
Philippians 4:7, Mirror
Worship should remind us of our oneness with Christ. Worship should produce peace. Peace is not natural. Because of sin, peace isn’t naturally possible. True peace can only come from the awareness of our oneness with Christ.
We have limited understanding. We can only cram so much understanding in our lives. Luckily, our God is limitless! When we have exhausted all of our understanding and it running on fumes, God’s peace keeps going and going and going. God’s peace is like the “Energizer Bunny.”
4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:4-7, ESV
God doesn’t expect you to have peace apart from Him. He is the ultimate source. Don’t believe your own press about your capacity to produce peace. Rest is His limitless and freely given peace.
