Establish: How To Calm Your Mind

5 Things to Establish Today

1. You are known by God.

13-16 Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out;
you formed me in my mother’s womb.
I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made!
I worship in adoration—what a creation!
You know me inside and out,
you know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day.
Psalm 139:13-16 Message

2. If a situation is not good yet, it’s not over.

28 We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.

Romans 8:28 Voice

3. You’ve been provided with every spiritual blessing.

3-6 How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He’s the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.

Ephesians 1:3-6 Mesage

4. There is nothing that can separate you from God.

38-39 I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Romans 8:38-39 Message

5. God loves you as you are and where you are.

6-8 Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway. We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice. But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.

Romans 5:6-8 Message

The bible is full of truths that can relate to every area and season of our lives. We must hear and believe these truths to keep our minds at peace. Believe these today to calm your mind, bring rest to your spirit, and infuse energy to your life!

Much or How To Offer Something People Really Want

What does the church have for every man, woman, and child other than Christ and his work on their behalf?

Not much.

Rod Rosenbladt

The only thing that the church has to offer the world is Christ. The best thing that the church can offer the world is Christ.
Not lights.
Not music.
Not services.
Not sermons.
Not leadership.
Not activities.
Not fellowship.

Simply Christ.

The best way for us to reach the world is to know nothing of them except Christ. He has to be the aroma we wear. He has to be the smile we show. He has to be the laughter we set free.

You’ll remember, friends, that when I first came to you to let you in on God’s master stroke, I didn’t try to impress you with polished speeches and the latest philosophy. I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and who he is; then Jesus and what he did—Jesus crucified.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2 Message

Paul, who is the architect of our faith, chose to know nothing and to preach nothing but Christ. The simplicity of Christ was his only message that he gave to the church in its infancy. The pure milk of the gospel of Christ is the nourishment that we crave. The meat of the death and resurrection of Christ is the sustenance that compels us to tell others.
