How Guarantees Once Saved the World

Our faith in Jesus transfers God’s righteousness to us and he now declares us flawless in his eyes. This means we can now enjoy true and lasting peace with God, all because of what our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, has done for us. Our faith guarantees us access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory!

Romans 5:1-3, Passion Translation

We have a wellspring of joy that finds it’s source in God’s glory! The hope of this glory is the simple belief that Jesus is our guarantee!

Exchange: How To Trade for Something Better

People often respond to me, “I just can’t conceive of how God can make me righteous.” I reply, “I’ve got a better question. How could God make Jesus become sin?”

Bob George, Classic Christianity

What a paradox! What irony! What an exchange!

Yes. Precisely, exchange.

Plan | BobbyShirley

In Jesus’ death and resurrection, the whole test-passing, brownie-point-earning rigmarole of the human race has been canceled for lack of interest on God’s part.

– Robert F. Capon, “The Mystery of Christ…and Why We Don’t Get It

Jesus’ arrival, life, and victory on the cross is the flat announcement that God was done with our attempts at our own righteousness. Not in a fed-up, frustrated way but in the way a husband surprises his wife with the vacation she’s been pinching every penny to be able to go on.

You can’t think of God on the cross as a last-ditch, bottom-of-the-ninth swing for the fence but the revelation of the plan. Not plan “B”. The plan. Was it God’s intention for sin to enter his pristine paradise? No. But, is He using it to reveal Himself as loving savior to and for us? Yes.

Tired. Exasperated. Frustrated. Overworked. Tense. Scared. Failing.

That’s what defines what the human race looked like to me prior to the cross. And, in some ways how we still look trying so hard to earn the medal that’s already around our neck.

We, me included, must realize that what Jesus did for us was really enough. We can’t begin to add to it. All we can do simply believe it and receive it.

Need |

Everything we need, in Christ we already possess.

– Tullian Tchividjian

Take what you need. We have a God who gives liberally.

Ability |

Righteousness is the ability to stand in the presence of the Father without a sense of guilt, condemnation, or inferiority as if sin never existed.

Jason Adair

This quote from Mr. Adair is a truth bomb. This is a truth that if we can believe it, changes everything.

  1. Stand boldly in the presence of God.
  2. Feel truly clean of all guilt.
  3. Know that because of Jesus you have a stable foundation to stand on.

“Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.”
– 1 Corinthians 15:34 ESV

When Paul says to awaken he’s not telling you to wake up from a peaceful sleep to a nightmare. You’re awakening to righteousness, not how bad you were.

  • You are not who you were before Jesus changed you.
  • You are not who you used to be before His grace transformed you.

  • You are who He designed you to be from the foundations of the world.
  • You are the divine idea in the mind of God that He enjoyed so much He created you.

It’s all Him. From beginning to end. If you look closely and objectively you can see He has provided everything for us.

  • He’s given you the ability to be with Him.
  • He’s given you the ability to love Him.
  • He’s given you the ability to access His righteousness.
  • He’s given you the ability to perfectly display Him in the earth.
  • He’s given you the ability to be who you really are.
