The interior life of the believer is ever ascending.

Fully Satisfied ManifestO

The life of the believer is an always ascending thrill ride. From joy to joy. From grace to grace. From hope to hope. From love to love. From glory to glory.

18 All of us are looking with unveiled faces at the glory of the Lord as if we were looking in a mirror. We are being transformed into that same image from one degree of glory to the next degree of glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 3:18, CEB

As believers, the journey we’ve started will never end. We will always be uncovering new levels of glory. Always.

Always.

But…

Sometimes this life doesn’t look like things are getting better. Sometimes it looks like things are getting crappier. Losing a job. Losing a relationship. Getting a ticket. Letting yourself get into a sin-cycle.

The great news is that our life, our real life, is not what is visible on the outside.

3-4 Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life—even though invisible to spectators—is with Christ in God. He is your life. When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you’ll show up, too—the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.

Colossians 3:3-4, Message

This does not mean we don’t need to worry about this current life that we are living, but that we can’t get bogged down by it. We can’t let things that happen in this life be the sole concern of our time.

Our lives are not dictated by the ups-and-downs of this temporary life.

Let this life be what it is, a ride. Celebrate the highs and have patience through the lows.
