He turns exile into ecstasy, and banishment into bliss.

Charles Spurgeon

Mourning to joy
Weeping to laughing
Orphans to sons
Outsiders to insiders
Death to life
Wilderness to paradise

4 But God, with the unfathomable richness of His love and mercy focused on us, 5united us with the Anointed One and infused our lifeless souls with life—even though we were buried under mountains of sin—and saved us by His grace. 6He raised us up with Him and seated us in the heavenly realms with our beloved Jesus the Anointed, the Liberating King. 7He did this for a reason: so that for all eternity we will stand as a living testimony to the incredible riches of His grace and kindness that He freely gives to us by uniting us with Jesus the Anointed.

Ephesians 2:4-7

We do not experience ecstasy outside of Christ, but only inside of Him. We can’t truly have bliss without Jesus, but only with Him.

Instead, You direct me on the path that leads to a beautiful life.
As I walk with You, the pleasures are never-ending,
and I know true joy and contentment.

Psalms 16:11

Do you see what the psalmist is saying? That it’s when we walk with God consistently that the pleasure of His company is never-ending, not just on an “encounter” basis.

We are always in His presence, we can’t get out. It’s our realization of that connection that keeps us walking with Him.
